Not sure which calculator fits your question, or which numbers to put in it? Ask us. We'll help you work the calculation itself — free, by email.
What we can help with
- Choosing the right calculator for the question you're trying to answer
- Figuring out which numbers to enter, and where to find them
- Sanity-checking an estimate that looks too high or too low
- Explaining, in plain language, what a result means and what drives it
Please read this first — what this is not
This is educational help with calculations, not professional advice. TallyUp is not a CPA firm, tax preparer, law firm, or licensed financial advisory service, and using this form does not create a professional–client relationship of any kind.
- We cannot tell you what you should do — which option to choose, how much to set aside, or how to file. We can explain how a calculation works and what the numbers mean.
- Every calculator result is an estimate based on the inputs entered and simplified assumptions. Your real figures depend on your complete situation, current law, and details a calculator can't see.
- For tax filings, contracts, disputes, or decisions with real money on the line, consult a qualified professional (CPA, enrolled agent, attorney, or licensed financial advisor).
Never send us: Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, account passwords, tax returns, pay stubs, or full account statements. Rounded or example numbers are all we ever need to help with a calculation — if sensitive information is sent anyway, it travels and is stored as ordinary email, which we cannot secure.
How it works
- Fill out the form below. Tell us the calculator you're using (or the question you started with), the numbers you're working with, and what you're trying to figure out.
- We reply by email, typically within 2 business days. Replies are asynchronous — there are no live chats, calls, or instant answers.
- One follow-up round is included if our first answer misses the question. If your situation needs a professional, we'll say so plainly and point you to the right kind.
