Terms of Use

Last updated: October 27, 2026. The short version: our calculators provide estimates for planning only. They are not financial, tax, or legal advice, and using this site does not create a professional relationship of any kind.

1. Estimates only — not professional advice

TallyUp provides free calculators and explanations for general information and planning. Every result is an estimate based on the numbers you enter and on simplified, published formulas and rates. Nothing on this site is financial, tax, or legal advice, and using the site — including contacting us or using the consultation form — does not create a professional–client relationship between you and TallyUp. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional who knows your complete situation.

2. Accuracy is best-effort

We work to keep the site's content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or error-free. Figures such as tax rates, brackets, and standard deductions are dated, come from published sources, and can change when the agencies behind them — such as the IRS or the Bureau of Labor Statistics — revise them. Check any figure that matters against the official source before you rely on it.

3. Our content and public data

The text, design, and calculator code on this site are the intellectual property of TallyUp. You are welcome to use the site for its intended purpose, but you may not copy or reuse its content or code beyond that without our permission. Data published by the U.S. federal government is in the public domain: where a tool or page shows federal figures, that data itself is not ours, and this section does not claim it.

4. Acceptable use

Use the site for its intended purpose — working out your own calculations. Please do not abuse it. That includes automated scraping or other use that burdens the site, attempting to disrupt the site or gain unauthorized access to it or its infrastructure, and presenting calculator results as professional advice or as though a professional had prepared them.

5. Provided "as is"

The site and its calculators are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, TallyUp is not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its estimates. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

6. Copyright questions

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, or you have any other copyright question, contact us at [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify the material. We will review the message and respond.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The current version will always be posted on this page, the "Last updated" date at the top will show when it was most recently revised, and changes take effect when they are posted here.
